Bio - David McCarthy
Born in Massachusetts, David McCarthy is no stranger to the world of Massachusetts Real Estate. Licensed since 1994, McCarthyʼs career began in the world of property management. In 2001, building on his knowledge and expertise in property residential
and commercial buildings, he began selling homes in the Boston Metro area.
In 2005 McCarthy and two partners; Steven Cohen and Diane Davidson; entered into a new venture with the opening of a Keller Williams franchise in Boston. In their first eighteen months of operation, the office was awarded the “Launch Office of the Year” for the most profitable new franchise of the year in the Keller Williams network. With more than 100 agents in Boston and a growing and satisfied client base, expansion was in the works again.
In 2009, amidst a growing residential real estate crisis, McCarthy and his partners assumed ownership of the Keller Williams office in neighboring Newton, MA. This office was a natural fit to the growing Boston office. Now working with agents in Newton, McCarthyʼs offices continue to have an impact on the lives of agents and clients alike. There are no secrets to success for McCarthy. His businesses, both his brokerage and his companies, have been built on hard work and relationships. As an agent he operates on the principle of educating his clients on the market, recent sales and longterm trends in the region, focusing on building lasting relationships, he always does what is right for the client, even if that means that it is less profitable for his business.
The value of a repeat customer and great word of mouth is worth more to him than a
quick sale. In the same token, Active in the Real Estate industry, McCarthy sits on the Board of Directors for the GREATER BOSTON ASSOCIATION of REALTORS, and is Vice Chair on the Professional Standards Committee and is an active member of the Government Affairs Committee for the GREATER BOSTON REAL ESTATE BOARD. In addition McCarthy is on the Member Benefits Committee for the MASSACHUSETTS ASSOCIATION of REALTORS.
